Thanks to your product my 15 month old Great Dane is doing well. He had pneumonia and wouldn't eat or drink. Performance in the Show Ring

"Hi Andrew

Thank you for the sample sachets, we purchase some "Aqua Dog" before we received the sample to try, as the schedule Dog show on the weekend the temperature was warm, well it work really great the dogs could not get enough of Aqua Dog, and it did make a difference in performance and well being of our Labradors.

They drank it when offered, and as the product demonstrates you need water in take before, during and after the exercise of show our dogs specially in warm temperature, they preformed in the show ring quiet well and recovery rate from gaiting around was really noticeable also they were not panting like the other competition...we'd love to keep our secret but the advantage and well being offered for all dog health is true.

i received the aqua dog samples that you sent me, i used them on a very hot day up here at a dog show that i went to, all the dogs went very well on it, they were not dehydrated and they performed quite well. They had a lot more energy than usual. They kept running all day without getting puffed at all. The tempreture that day was 42 degrees, i was quite happy with the results. Thanks very much, i will be using it again with there regular excercise.

German Shepherds

"I imported a German Shepherd from Germany 12mths ago and recently tried the Aqua Dog on him at a recent Specialist show and found that after over an hour in the ring that he pulled up better than what he does when using Recharge.

My problem is that I live on the Southern Highlands of NSW and have been unable to find the concentrate anywhere as I show 5 to 6 dogs the bottles are quite dear at $2.00 per bottle so could please let me know where to get the concentrate."

"First off, please let me say that your product is fantastic. We breed, show, do obedience and agility and jumpers with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We have noticed in the past that they do not seem to drink enough water. Well - they certainly do now !! They love your product. I have recently been told that you sell a powder form (have been buying the bottles from Woolworths) and with fourteen dogs I am thinking that a powder form would be a better way for me to buy it.

Pepe at a trial he has NEVER drunk water but now he will push you over to drink the beef flavoured water you sell.
Where can I get it from?
Can I buy it online?

I was given a bottle of your product by Sue Dansie that she purchased from a local Supermarket. We were travelling to Whyalla for an Obedience competition.

As always Whyalla was warm. I gave my Dogs Aqua Dog prior to competiting and I truly believe that if it weren't for Aqua Dog my Female Labrador "Bailey" would not have performed to her best, taking out 1st place in the Open Obedience competition. I tried this product out on both my dogs. Vandal, who is nearly 13 and still very active. Caddie, who is 20mths and doesn’t know the word stop when she begins to work.
Both these dogs work beside me all day. They are my lifeline. They are not only my assistance/service dogs but my very special mates, because if it wasn’t for them I would not be able to live the life of independence I do. I also do obedience, agility etc with them. They also work long hours beside the wheelchair out in the public.
I have found your product has meant that they are not looking for the water dish as much, are panting less when we are out on hot days after having a drink of this. Having aqua dog before we start obedience, they are in a far better state than the other dogs.
Can I keep getting it in powder form to keep costs down etc, as pensions don’t stretch too far.

Incidentally I had no trouble in offering the drink to (pug 1) she found mixture quite appetizing.
I must admit I was very impressed and I will be buying more as pugs as a breed are not able to sustain exercise for long periods at a time.
I feel the drink will be an absolute treasure in the travelling box and I will always have a bottle on hand.

Hi Andrew-

I tried the sample this weekend. Mixed it all up for the 6 collies we were showing and filled their trailer water containers when we arrived at the show. It was a very hot day at Maryborough and my son believes they had a lot more speed on the move than usual for a hot day. They pulled up well with no panting and I am quite impressed.

I will be trying to get to Coles to check if they have the dry product this week. ( I usually shop at WW not Coles- so will have to check Coles for it).

I took a few bottles with me to our Weimaraner National as I worry about the dogs using different water when away I did not have any problems with the Weimaraners or the Schipperkes. They all love it and I find they will drink it. But dont overdo it either.

Well I have had a chance to use some of the dog hydration, not in the usually way that most would use it I must say. I have a bitch that has just given birth to two puppies, lost one in the process so we have one surviving, this was Thursday Morning, and as it has been rather hot here. I have had the whelping boxed inclosed as the puppy still needed to be kept warm, the mum seemed to be panting a lot, especially last yesterday afternoon and into last night, so I thought why not give her some of the hydration as I felt she had not been getting out of the box to drink much not wanting to leave the puppy, so after mixing up 600ml she drank about 400ml straight up and after a short time settled down and has been comfortable ever since, I have replaced her original water with the hydration formula, so it not only works for dogs excising.
I will certainly be giving all my dogs some before entering the show ring on hot days. I will keep you posted once I have tried it them.

We received the samples Wednesday, and have only tried them yesterday. We have one dog in particular it is very difficult to hydrate / or in fact re hydrate at shows, so we tried “Rikki” as a test subject. He loved it. We also have a litter of 5 week old puppies here at present, we gave them a bowl as their water for the day, as it was humid, and they too lapped it up.
Thank you for the opportunity to sample the product, and we would like to be able to purchase the concentrate [at a reasonable price] in preference to the liquid available in stores.

We tried them out on our two German Shepherd girls last weekend. We were at a specialist show on Saturday (which means a lot of work for both dogs & handlers), we gave each of them some of the Aqua Dog before they went in the ring and again when they had finished working. We had another show on Sunday (an All Breeds Show), normally after a specialist show one day our dogs are a bit lethargic the next day ... Not this time!! They were both
still full of beans and ready to run.

We didn't want to treat either of our girls any differently at the specialist show so we, in a way, used their litter sisters as the "control" group - they both had at least one sister in the show. Our young puppy of just turned 9 months came third, one of her sisters came fourth and the other one came seventh (usually the one that came fourth is in front of our girl by one or two places). Our older girl (all of 17 months) came second and her sister (who is usually one or two places either in front or behind
her) came 6th - that to us showed that the product helped keep them hydrated and cooler (the day was quite warm from mid morning onwards).

On another note, one of our girls only drinks a small amount of water in a day and usually before, during and after a show would only have one or two sips of water - with the flavoured water she drank the whole lot before and after her session. Much better for her in the long run - this is probably why she has not been so successful on the second day, she's been dehydrated and we hadn't realised it (we do soak her food and put extra water in that just to try to get enough water into her each day).

We will certainly be looking to get more of the powder to add to their water
- even for when they're not in a show just to ensure they drink enough water each day to keep fully hydrated particularly with summer coming up and the hot weather starting. What is the cost of the breeders packs of powder? We would look for the beef and bacon flavours. I was unable to find pricing on the internet site nor a way to purchase online.

We had read Karen's article in the GSR when it was issued (we keep our Reviews as they're very informative). I haven't had time to look at the article from the Purina website but will when time permits.

Sorry if it looks like I'm rabbiting on, but just wanted to let you know some of the details.

For the National Rottweiler Speciality Show.
As it happened the Lady I travelled with bitch developed the runs (my dog was fine) so we used

Both my friend and I will be buying this product for the summer show’s even though here in Perth we show dogs at night time it will still give them a lift after a long hot day.

I would love to order the chicken and the bacon flavour.
The last few days have been so hot up here and if we are outside the dogs like to be with us.
I put two bowls out and where they would not normally drink water, I had no problem with them drinking plenty of fluid.
It was lovely to see them playing and not having the panting and tongue hanging out and drolling all over their coats.
The dogs had much more energy, I really thought about trying it myself!!!!
It is a truely wonderful product. I can see that I will be able to show over the summer period now.

Yes I had a chance to try the product and from what I have seen in my great dane and my labradors after and during their runs it has definitly given them more staying power. one of my dogs who is a seven year old labrador has always had trouble with keeping up due to the fact that he tires easily and usually drinks heaps during and after his walk but now he is keeping up with the others and even looks forward to the drink time. I had seen the bottled form for sale in the supermarket, but had never purchased it.
The weather here has been extremely hot, and showing in these conditions is very tough on the dogs.
There was notable difference in the dogs ability to perform, which is a huge bonus with big dogs in these extreme weather conditions.
I will definitely be putting it on the shopping list before the next show.

the product was terrific we gave it to our dogs before they went in the ring for the rottie national and yes a big difference
they were not panting as much and no drools like they can get from being in the ring for such a long time the results were good .a grading of excellent for our veteran and a grading of excellent for our aus bred dog 2 nd place from 22 other males
and first place with a grading of excellent for intermediate bitch and r/up intermediate in show .with 44 in her class
so yes the results were good.

Many thanks for sending over the samples.....yes I did mix and use the sachels prior to and during the events.
I'm not a 100% sure if the drink reduced the panting and the likes as I run very fit dogs and its hard to tell, I think I was panting heavier than what they were, But , what I did notice was their recovery rate was sufficiently better than ever.
The Saturday morning was cold and wet ,the afternoon when 4 of our dogs ran , it was warm and humid about 24 degrees
and Sunday was around the 30degrees and we ran a male in Puppy class , he came in 2nd and looked like he could do it again .
I believe the hydration mix was a great help and would show even greater benefits when the weather is above 35 degrees.

I received the product in the mail thank you very much. I have also tried them on my dogs. I am quite suprised how well it actually works.

I have one Malamute in particular that just doesn't stop. She will run and run, then fall in a heap for 15 minutes, then she'll be up running again. I gave her some of the drink and this time there was no 15 minute power nap. She just kept going and going and going!!

I tried the bacon sachet on 2, 4 month old pups that I had shown on Saturday. The temperature was forecast to be around 30 degrees Celsius. The Australian cattle dog pups were very willing to drink and performed really well in the ring.
I gave them each a drink prior to entering the sweepstakes and each class and they performed really well even for later in the day with the class in group line up.
I also tried to give them plain water and they seemed reluctant to drink but then offered them the bacon flavoured alternative and they did not hesitate.
I will definitely be trying the product again.

We tried the water out on the dogs on the weekend at a show. They loved it, so much that one hogged it all and wouldn’t share any water with anyone else!!! Results were a little mixed as the weather was all over the place. We do have a dog here that went into heat exhaustion in April, lucky to still be alive and has serious issues when exercising now. I will definitely try it out on him. He overheats quite rapidly these days and is not keen on drinking water when out.
